Who are you?
Dotekicept (doe-tech-ih-cept) is a Canadian independent video game development studio active since 2021. We are based in Calgary, Alberta.
What’s with the name?
It is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for “dynamic” (Dōteki) and “concept,” thus forming “Dotekicept”. This name was chosen to reflect our desire to create fun games powered by new ideas.
What kinds of games?
Dotekicept is influenced by a number of different studios, primarily Skip Ltd., Love-de-Lic, Nintendo, OutSide Directors Company, among others. However, even though we take inspiration from these developers, we try to give our games their own unique feel.
