Labyrinth preview and Right Angle Tangle!

Spring has sprung! (Well, it did almost a month ago…)

I’d just like to begin by apologizing for the lack of updates, while development on Labyrinth has been progressing, it has been slower as of late due to other creative projects and your typical life-related stuff.

But that doesn’t mean we don’t have something to show! Take a look at this 4-minute preview of Labyrinth we uploaded to our YouTube channel earlier today.

This preview is of an alpha version of Labyrinth, so many details are subject to change, but it’s the first look at its proper stages (the one in the video being “Mosquito Web”), as well as its numerous gameplay mechanics!

As for the release window of the update, I would still very much like to get it out by the end of spring, but with the current state of things, it could be pushed to summer. More concrete info will be released as the update comes closer to completion.

But that’s not all we have to share! Back in March, we made an announcement on Twitter regarding a new, smaller project in development alongside Labyrinth, it’s called Right Angle Tangle!

You know those weird bouncing square deathmatch/race videos you see on YouTube shorts and Instagram reels? Right Angle Tangle is inspired by them, now with a greater element of interactivity.

As of the writing of this post, Right Angle Tangle is still fairly early in it’s development, but the current plan is to include 4 different modes, each of which we will go more in-depth on in future updates. However, I will say that it will be released as a free download either on this website or on another platform such as itch.io.

Before I close off this entry, though, I feel it’s important that I clarify that Right Angle Tangle is not the new project I had talked about before in previous blog posts. Like Labyrinth, development on this new project has been very slow as of late.

But while we still don’t have anything presentable to show, I will give the following description:

It is an experimental, top-down racing game based on Snake, with a very unique primary gameplay mechanic.

That’s all for now, thanks so much for reading, and stay tuned!
